Children always have been a great source of inspiration as are my own children. I specially designed and build this little cradle boat for them. If you love sailing and boats you can't start early enough to get them in touch with boats of course! For the do-it-yourself (grand)parents there is a building kit available for this baby boat cradle so you can build one of these for your own (grand)child.
How it builds
Cut out yourself with 1:1 Templates / Patterns or have it cut out with CNC, "stitch" with wire, epoxy fillet, sand and finish. First-time stitch-and-glue friendly! Have a look at the free photobook.

CNC Option
We have developed CNC build kit information for this baby cradle. However the cost goes up pretty fast. If you are willing to spend a bit more money so you don't have to cut out the parts by hand, you can use the option for CNC support. You still will buy the standard plans but we will make available the CNC cutfiles that are necessary for cutting the parts. Please note that we will not supply any materials, this will need to be arranged with your preferred CNC cutting service provider.
PURCHASE YOUR PDF HERE WITH CNC SUPPORT - NZD99 (excl GST, NZ only)

These will still include the templates as a backup for yourself. Actual CNC files are not included in the download. After purchase, please contact us to let us know which CNC cutting service provider you would like to use so we can send the information directly to them. Let us know if you need help finding a company close to your location. Please note that we will only send files to recognised companies.
Safety & FAQ
Plans are for a decorative/novelty baby cradle. Always follow local safety guidance and never leave a baby unattended. The responsibility for building a safe cradle from these plans lies solely with the builder and if you choose to buy these plans you accept this will be the builder's responsibility.
- How long does it take? - Typically a couple of focussed weekends + finishing
- What tools do I need? - Jigsaw, drill, sander, clamps, epoxy basics
- Can I use CNC? - Yes, purchase the CNC support option
- What finish is safe? - Please look into your local safety guidelines but generally it is a good start using standard interior grade materials, no rough or sharp edges are present and the cradle is nicely padded.
